Alas Lakota, I am covered up in projects, so much so the Palace is setting in the barn collecting patina. I haven't even taken it out to the races's this year. It all started when the government shut down in January. My youngest being a newly wed was caught up in that deal, being a contract engineer he wasn't eligible for lost pay reimbursement so to help out, he came down and helped me finish up a bathroom rehab. Then we ripped out the kitchen. Mind you, when I say we I mean him because of my health situation. As soon as we finished the tear out the shut down ended and he went back to work and I have been trying to rehab on my own. I am usually able to get one to two days a week where I can do at least some of the work. Painting, staining and that kind of thing.. We stripped all of my old cabinets to bare wood and I just finished staining them on Monday. It's been a chore for a broken old fat man but as soon as a friend is able to spray the clear on them they will be ready to be put back in. I built a new sink base for a farmers sink that for some unknown reason came out nearly perfect and only took me about two weeks, ( about a day and a half for a healthy person ) but it was in the coldest time of the year and that just exacerbates every little pain. I really enjoyed doing it and I had a lot of help from my middle son and that made it all the more enjoyable. I'm throwing a tile laying party soon, the guest are my boy's and they don't know they're doing yet but, I think they will enjoy it as I can smoke up a pretty nice brisket. Will work for food is the name of the game. Any way, I wish I was spending this time on the Palace doing some of the few little things that's needed on her. After last years wholesale component change outs of the major wear items and the rewiring up in the engine bay, she is as ready to roll as she possibly can be. I start her up a lot and when my son was down he used it for his bed room and a couple times since he and his wife have come down and stayed in it on the property so it is being used, just not really in the fashion I'd like, but it keeps her young and mobile.  Hopefully next years season will be much better for the traveling. That's my project, hope the rest of you are working on your RV's and I cant wait to read your post's.
