The construction is Aluminum siding, glued to foam, glued to wood paneling. (Thermopanel Construction) I think it would be very hard to get the siding off and re-side it. I did see one Classic Winnebago that had a smooth fiberglass skin on it, but what they had done was glued / screwed Luan onto the existing siding then glue fiberglass sheeting over the top of it. It looked good, but I'm sure there was a lot of weight added.
