lets just say it is a work in progress-the inside of the trailor is very nice but we are working on the engine right now-sad to say though  that they dont stock these parts at kragens so its been a loong trip going nowhere. looks like we are stuck til next season-good luck with (the disaster ) i'll bet there are a few people here that can help you along your journey with parts and information. crossing my fingers for ya.

Jennifer, someone with a 1968 Red Dale is looking for an owner with a Red Dale of about the same age. Here's the url:

It's a vintage camper site. Carol

Jennifer--I'm writing this blindly. There's no TO and FROM here, clues I've relied on forever. Oh, well, you look very young in your picture. Your aspiration to spend a lot of time in your camper is admirable. Is your mother ok with that? Carol

I hope I'm replying to Jesse. If not, hello, whoever you might be! Jesse, thanks for the encouragement. I admire your having a mobile home like you do. Sounds very courageous. The trailer (aka "the disaster") I was told was 18' overall, my absolute maximum. It turned out to be 20' and I'm a little worried about hauling it around by myself. I've pulled lots of sailboats, but you can see around them. Don't know what's next. Is your Silver Streak in good shape??

welcome carol-im new to the site as well and also just bought an rv on e-bay. my name is jesse and im  not so computer savvy myself ,so welcome to the club-dont feel that you are alone in this. there are some very nice people here as far as ive seen. i have what i now believe to be a 1967 silver streak trailor on a tempo matador truck cab/chassis(imagine an airstream with a vw bus cab) i think it is the prototype for what was to become the first of 23 silver streak motorhomes to be built  in 1969. again--welcome!

Welcome! I live in Colorado and have a pull-behind 1969 Red Dale. I got it in October 2010 so I haven't had it out as of yet. But I plan to do a lot of camping with her for years to come.
