Tell us a little About Yourself
Hello happy campers out there! Like many of you, I've ALWAYS dreamed of having my own little vintage RV. While visiting friends in Oregon the last 2 weeks, when I LEAST expected it, a little 1971 Shasta 1400 popped up on my radar & I couldn't get it out of my mind. I tried to school myself. on prices, options, pro's/con's, etc but in the end I just took a chance & went with my heart. I think I did ok but time & more knowledge (hopefully gained here) will tell. I'm a COMPLETE NEWBIE! However, I've restored a 1971 Datsun 510 wagon & 1970 Datsun 521 mini truck with success so I'm not completely intimidated but scared enough to know I need to keep my eyes/ears open & connect with folks in the know so I can create a plan of attack. I'm on a broke-girl budget & supposedly a lot of the major "work" has already been done. It has a toilet & outdoor shower but I need to modify it to make it an indoor shower set up. All lights work, The heater, turquoise stove, oven, original ice box all work. I would love to invite anyone with 2 cents of advice or suggestions to reach out & say hello. Thank you & Happy Camping y'all!
