Anyone had this 454 problem?

We have owned a 1985 Midas with a 454 motor for several years.  The previous owner told us that there was a small problem, it would "pop back through the carb" under load.  I tried lots of things and…Continue

Thank you for the heads up on the spark plug wire. A starter repairman gave me this tip. Run a sump pump or flex dryer vent hose from the front under the bumper to the starter to prevent the starter from swelling with heat and turn over very slowly. I also supplement my gasoline with hydrogen made from water. Do not let anyone tell you it does not work! I went from 4-6 miles a gallon to 10 - 15 miles a gallon by adding a propane carburetor adapter to my carb. I also added an extra alternator and battery to run the hydrogen cell.
