Tell us a little About Yourself
We had a Class A that saw a lot of U.S and spent a summer in Alaska years went by and we started looking for cheap one with lots potential we could retire to. We are both very handy and tore into our 1985 30ft Southwind to make it useful for two. We've photo documented a lot for people who might want to take some things o.n I was a Microsoft network engineer and kath has done almost everything.

Well you've done a commendable job so far! Mine is still woodgrain everywhere. No immediate plans to fix that. Mine definitely looks like a man cave.
I have not experienced severe vapor lock issues. Just surging when leaving a stoplight. Did replace the starter over labor day. I think you have the 454 engine like mine. Your problems will be starter overheating, vapor lock, and possible warped manifold passenger side--all related to this engine design not dissipating heat well from the passenger side of the engine. A previous owner has invented some air dams under this rig to divert more air to the passenger side. I'm no mechanic but my rig seems to have fewer problems than others with this engine. Maybe those air dams are working?

I was wondering if you could share more pictures? The interior of your rig is very similar to mine. I do like the light-colored walls much more than the fake wood-grain walls in mine.
