Incorrect Way to Tow

I have been going through all the pictures that have ever been posted to GORV and I must say that there is lots of good images on rehabs and repairs. 

When I came across this photo I just had to repost it as a reminder to all motorhome owners of how NOT to allow you RV to be towed. The damage that is being inflicted on that front end is a travesty and is senseless because it is due to incorrect or inadequate training of the tow truck operator.

When a MH is being towed it should always be towed from the front. In most cases the front axle should be chained to the frame to keep it from dropping down and tearing the air bags apart before the front tires ever leave the ground. Finally, the drive shaft needs to be disconnected.

I am sure all of you know what I have just listed, but it is always good to have a reminder of the proper and improper ways of getting towed. One never knows how well the driver has been trained and the wrecker company will not pay for all the damage they cause, it will come out of your own pocket.

Not to mention on extended frames that is a good way to break the frame right in half! Anyone ever look at the welds on their frame extensions? You will be amazed and scared at the same time.
