Alaska Or bust

The circus is headed north in a few months, WAY north Wassilla AK. 

Has anyone made the trip? Any Advice on which way to go? I am thinking sticking close to the coast rather than taking the long way around over the Alcan. We drive the Albatross, 1985 Fleetwood Southwind. She is ugly but paid for. Seems real solid mechanically gets @ 8-10 MPG hwy going to do suspension bag work this coming month, but the body is a  little questionable in the rear passenger side where the previous owner backed into something. any advice for the trip is welcome

We are going to leave in July from Texas. Passport is ready.

Iam looking for tailights for our 1982 Travelmate motorhome. They have 3 lenses and are surface mount. They were very common in the 70 and 80 not made anymore. Looking to purchase a pair.
