I have a 1982 Skyline Lindy in beautiful condition. Problem is the cargo doors aren't so beautiful. They are deteriorating and crumbling apart on certain places of the doors. Has anyone ever tried to repair one of these doors. Replacement doors cost a small fortune!

Usually repairing the metal thats originally there can only be crudly patched and ends up looking like blahhhhh. I have fabricated new metal and it almost past as looking somewhat ok. I have found, shopping Ebay for overstock, RV doors, was cost effective in the long run. I have even gone as far as having to purchase a storage door slightly larger and then fabricated it to fit. Lowes and Home Depot have flat metal to fabricate with, but the cost usually exceeded what the cost of a replacement or used door on Ebay went for.
Thanks for the advice...I'll start looking on e-bay. Thought my problem was solved when I found a Lindy that Visone was parting out. Doors looked mint but they never returned my calls or answered my e-mails. Wonder what's up with that???
