I got the big ceiling panel cut and fitted. Next step is gluing on the padded vinyl covering.

I always dread having to do a ceiling in a camper or RV. All the stuff just waiting for me above the panel when I go to remove it....Watching this one! What are you using for the panel?

I found lauan paneling at Lowes.

Hi Russ, What are you using for the padded vinyl covering and what kind of adhesive are you using. I'm doing a headliner in my car and just curious. I want it to look good and not fall in my face on a fast road and a short curve.LOL

this is the site i ordered it from.

I looked all through that site and even searched for "headliner" and could not find anything. Do you have a part number?

Just curious. Why are you adding a padded vinyl ceiling? I'm pretty tall for a woman, 6', and I don't bump my head on my ceiling. I've insulated it pretty well, so I don't understand the padding.

Padded vinyl is what HR used to finish the ceiling in my Aluma Lite. So to keep it looking the same I am reinstalling the same thing.

Ohhhhhh, ok. Gotcha

Padded ceilings absorb a lot of noise, otherwise you get a lot of echos inside of a box like that.
