Hello Everyone,
I am new to the site, I have a 75 Ford chassis Midas 22ft. I was wondering if anybody here had any info or experience in extending the length of their campers. I am welder by trade and have a few years carpentry experience as well. I know it can be done just want to know of any known obstacles or problems with the D.O.T. and the like. I have 3 kids with me and the wife, and the 22ft functions it would just be nice to have extra room. The camper shell it self needs totally rebuilt, it is wet all the way through.
So I thought since I have to tear it all down anyway might as well have some fun in the process.
Thanks in advance for any info/help
Jake

Depending on your state vehicle laws, you can extend the length. Ive seen it done and the only problem you will have to take into concideration is how far back the tail end goes,, for example,, if you pull out of a sloped drive onto level pavement, is the rear gonna drag? Just my input. L.W.
Good point! Thank you for the thought I will add that to my plans.
