I've got this old 69?, 70?, 71? Citation that I plan on making a project. It has this "Flash Gordon" looking voltage thingie and I am wondering if anyone has seen something like it and would have any info to go along with it. I think I have attached a couple of photos for reference. ( New to the forum so not entirely sure how things work) Any help or wisdom from cagey old vets would be appreciated. Hoping to have this beast in a campsite spring of 2018 but maybe '19 is more realistic.

That vintage Volt meter is from an ERA gone by, back when they added lots of chrome bling bling, like the huge chrome bumpers on the big cars. I have only seen one of those you have pictured at an RV rally.(it showed the available voltage on the cabin battery)

If it still works, I would defo keep it up there,, it adds that vintage classy touch

By the way,, Very nice Old bones rig,, looks solid,, Take pictures of the before during and after on your updates and changes,, Members enjoy keeping up and following along.,

Thanks Lakota. I will definitely take lots of pics as I go. I have lots now but looking at them frightens me. I am a journeyman plumber and pretty handy with carpentry and wiring, none of which seems to translate to rvs. A good time will be had by all.

Ohhhhhhh,,, Plumbing, electrical and carpentry all fall under the MUST know workings in an RV. They pretty much work the same,, Like plumbing,,, getting water where its supposed to go, disposing of water,, electrical whether 12V or 110/120 V,, you need to run a wire (s) to said appliance or light,,, and carpentry,, cutting the repair panels is a MAJOR plus..

An RV is basically a compact house, elevated on wheels so you can take it places.

I don't know squat about it but it's cool.looks like you have a good foundation to start on. good luck with it oh! and welcome to GORV'S
