Billy, We can expect a recripocal link to https://goodoldrvs.ning.com

Not sure I understand. I am just offering a site where people are willing to help. I don't think we have an RV site over there. But I could ask about adding one. The site covers many subjects.

Having any info on an Onan is a life saver,, Seems they have a mind of their own,,

Thank you very much. I will be happy to join "STAK" and post a link.

I joined seems there is a fee, Billy?

Billy?

In FAQs I found this... the first line

Hello BJ,

I was approved for

http://smokstak.com

I havent logged in yet, maybe soon. I kinda perused the site til things started blurring together. No critique Its out of my interest zone. What struck me was many of your members may have interests in vintage RVs, often called "Ham Cans" actually travel trailers. I checked out a couple of facebook pages.

I am plugging for you so you might returned the favor. Something Like,"Hey all you folks with RVing interests, I found a great site. etc etc ,,,"

WOW! Just WOW! Okay, not just that because I have had all sorts of fun dealing with my 4.0 BFA Onan genset and am going to be the owner of a 6.5 BFA genset soon. Had a carb issue and mucked it up even more by fooling with the floats but I'm betting there is more involved.  Got a replacement carb on it but it's not running as it should on start up (choke is kept wide open to start with governor forced to be nearly at idle). These gensets are awesome when running as they should. They sip gas and keep the rig running.

I registered, too! Glad to have the potential resources to keep my motor running... head out on the highway... looking for adventure... and whatever comes my way.

I think you mean 6.5 NH. Onan never made a 6.5 BFA. The BFA came in 4.0. Very good unit that was sold mostly for the small RVs. Better than anything you can buy today. We have a manual section where you can down load the service manual. For free. It will tell you how to set the choke. There is no idle they are 1800 all the time. 900-0337 is the manual you need

But, but... it looks soo much like my BFA! You're right. I fubared my original BFA carb my messing with the float so I'm hoping I can really get things set with this after-market one. Thanks for commenting. I'd like to get this NH one and eventually swap it for the 4.0 to have extra capacity for the portable hot tub, tanning bed and extra a/c....

Yes they do look the same. For the most part they are. The NH is just a more powerful version of the BFA.
