Took the alumalite class c in for its smog test. Guy charged me a hundred bucks. Good news is it passed! Seemed high price but I was close to the deadline on the tags, so I went to the closest place that was open on a Saturday.

Thats great.. I always sweat the smog testing.

sorry for posting this twice. I don't know a blog from a comment and didn't realize there was lag time. anyway, now I notice a leak in one of my dump valves as there is a puddle of water under the drain pipe. think it is the grey, black bladex has been hard to open so I think I will order both. probably haven't been replaced in 20 years. Always something to do.

I have learned to spend the $9 to replace the slide valves on the waste tanks roughly every 2 years, sometimes 3, depending how much use they get. A plus to that is not letting the bolts rust up and make it a real pain to change. I have cheated and have taken them off and give them a good scrub cleaning, making sure the rubber ring gasket is still good.

I found it cheaper to just order a new valve kit,,it comes with a new ring gasket,, and it was only a couple dollars difference from just a gasket to a new assembly. P.S.  wear gloves.

And yes, its a crappy job, literally.
