OK, first, I'm no plumber. My husband doesn't know either and I do most of the work on the Fort. Know zip about plumbing hose's. Prior to our purchase the previous owner took the Fort to an RV guy to repair the hose leak under the kitchen sink.

He cut out the bad hose section, installed new blue hose and reattached with a fitting. Not sure if this is just a fitting or if it's a check valve. This is the cold water hose. When we turn on the pump and then turn on kitchen faucet, the faucet just drips, no pressure and hose leaks.

The leak is AT the fitting. Is there a way to tighten it without breaking it? or is this bad washers in the fitting? Really don't want to take it back to the RV guy, since I've realized he doesn't know what he's doing on other issues don't want him touching the Fort.

If I can tighten it, please be graphic as heck to describe how to do that. Was wondering if I could use plyers or channel locks around a pad without damaging the hose? I really am clueless and have not found anything to show how to do this. Or should I remove it first? And how do I do that?

Would this leak be caused by the RV guy not cutting the hose with the proper tool? Saw something about that and burrs on the hose.

This is the picture of the fitting where it is leaking. I have a tray sitting behind it to protect the paperboard covering on the hot water heater that it was dripping onto. It's leaking alot from the top left side of the fitting and slowly from the bottom right side of the fitting.

Yep, I'm grasping to understand and really appreciate your help.

You must be here in California!

Faucets rarely are so far gone that they need to be entirely replaced. They can usually be repaired with just a seal and washer kit and be good as new. Getting to them, on the other hand can be a major pain in the hip, elbow, fingers and etc., because of how tight most RV's are under the sink. Ugh. But you won't need to get down and grovel on the floor to replace the rubber bits and pieces, since they all come out the top. You may find that something has come loose and is blocking things. Did the problem start after replacing the leaky tubing?

Mobile money pit. Haha I like that

Good to know about the faucet. Yep, in California high desert. Still hotter than the hubs here. Not sure when it started, they were both like that at purchase. Will be working hopefully on next week, we are suppose to drop under 100'. :)

< 100? Oh boy! You must be where; upper Antelope Valley? Victorville? We're 15 miles from the coast in San Luis Obispo county @ about 1,000' el. It seems like our house is situated (between Atascadero and Santa Margarita) where it's always the hottest in Summer and coldest in Winter on the weather charts, but at least the ocean keeps things somewhat moderated.

We're 12 miles from Ridgecrest, China Lake Base. Mojave Desert. :) The ocean breeze sounds wonderful!

We really enjoy our swampcooler this time of year. Keeps our home between 25-30 degrees cooler than outside. Thought of putting one on the Fort, lol, but would use up all the water.

Hope you are enjoying the cooler weather!

I know it well! We ARE enjoying cooler temps, even if it's a temporary reprieve. High 80's today! We also have a swamp cooler, one of the plastic Autralian one's that fit almost flat against the wall that also keeps it 20 - 30 deg cooler inside. There's an Arizona company (as I recall) that makes one that fits in a standard 14 X 14 top vent hole. No idea how much water thay use, but they aren't very big.
