Tell us a little About Yourself
My parents owned an RV rental and sales business in El Paso, Texas in the late 60's and early 70's. I have been attracted to vintage travel trailers and motorhomes since. I have owned numerous RV's and have several rare motorhomes and a couple of vintage trailers now. I think my blood type is RV.
Hey Gary, mine does have the rear side windows, it was the only one I had seen that way until I saw yours. Mine says its made in 6/70. My galley is on the pass side with a dinette and the worlds smallest wet bath on the drivers side. Do you guys have a Glastron thread going so as to keep all the info in one place? My Glastron came with no info, so I have tons of questions. I hope I can pick your brain a little as you seem to be a long time owner/rv'er. I'll add a couple of pics soon.
I got my 'tron in Albq. NM. about a month ago. Unless its the other one you had heard of, now there are three rear bed models.
Thanks for the reply,
Craig
PS ever think of doing a Glastron RV yahoo group?
Gary, I added photos http://www.goodoldrvs.com/photo/albums/71-glastron Mine's no where near as nice as yours but I still dig it. What do you think about Pat
offering us a Glastron page? Just a way to keep glastron related stuff in one spot. Now for my first question; My onan runs but won't make 110v. I'm hoping it's just a switch. I'll try to attach a pic of my switch panel. What does the lever type switch on the side of the circut breaker box do?
Thanks' Gary. As you know they are a work in progress and am waiting for sway bars and Bilstein shocks. Looks like i am the only Revcon posted or I did not look hard enough. Nice Glastron!!!

I sail the San Juan and Gulf Islands for at least the month on July every year. I have good friends that have a place on Whidbey and the sail in tandem with us. I have been doing this for over 15 years. I used to trailer it up from wesy of Redding CA for the trip and now we have a home in Hoodsport. 2tears ago my 30 year old son talked us into moving in with he and his family east of Sacramento. So I keep the boat on the hard for the school year.
Starting the last week of June we will sail from Pt. Townsend to be in Ganges on Salt Spring Island for Canada Day and then we join the no agenda plan for the month of July, If you are planning to be close during the time we could dp a sail by or ?
In all the years we have sailed the NW we have entered and enjoyed many many port and bar none Ganges is our 1st choice. I can sit on my boat or the benchs along the walkway by the shops and just look and this beautiful place...
Hi Gary, thanks for the encouragement. I really like your pics! You've helped my mental state tremendously with the story about your aunt. Do you know how she financed her adventures? Has she always done this alone? thanks, Helen
Thanks for tell me that, Gary. It's good to hear about someone else my age doing this. I'm trying to be cautious and take it step by step, which I have to do anyway because of my finances. I've got people helping me look around, I've got a neighbor offering help with any repair work, I read everything I can find, etc. I should have done this a long time ago but anyway......I hope all of you don't mind my questions and jitters......say, does that scooter serve well for running in for supplies or is it just for fun purposes? I'd be afraid someone would grab it in a town.......... yet another question. :) h
