Hi All

New member here . I was wonder if any one has tried to mount a wireless backup camera on an Alumina Lite?  The requirement is to have a flat surface somewhere in the center of the top of the back panel on the coach. -Well its all angles so I will need some kind of bracket to mount to both sides of the back, and all of the coach lights are riveted in so getting power  is going to include drilling out and reinstalling the lights to start with. The RV centers that are authorized dealers for the camera (Furrion) say it cant be done.

Anyone else have similar issues?

You should be able to access the light fixture and wiring, or would seem redundant if you couldn't change a lightbulb. Making a mounting bracket is fairly easy with some imagination, or you can run a Hardline down along the trailer frame up to the trailers pigtail plug in to connect to hot reverse wire and ground.

Thanks . I was going to fabricate a bracket but I thought I would be able to see how others mount a camera on a motor home that was not pre-fabricated into the rear panel.

I've tried several wireless camera set ups and have gone back to hardwire set ups. With wireless I would experience interference. But I have seen wireless systems work fairly well. With any non option upgrade, it just takes creativity and imagination.

What you need to do is just buy a camera that mounts to your license plate or rig one up that mounts on your license plate bolts wide eyed lens on it... and I would wire it Direct just cut the wires on the camera and splice them in to wherever you can find power or put that thing on a switch all the way up there in the cab
