A tarp will allow moisture to be trapped between the tarp and the roof even in dry conditions because of condensation. If you want to cover it use a breathable membrane like Tyvac or an actual RV cover. If this option isn't available you can use a tarp and place jugs or old tires or anything light between your roof and the tarp to create an air space so air can circulate and limit condensation build up. You should check it often as well.

Jim, I plan to have the roof redone by myself this spring. Even though the interior is dry, I thought covering it would reduce the chance of being exposed to the constant rain it is exposed to in the Pacific Northwest. Has anyone else have an idea or comment in whether it is advisable or not to tarp a trailer/ motorhome?

Loretta, I do have the roll up cabinets, which I'm not a fan of. I have one where it is broken, and hard to access.

Hay Bruce,NICE sportsman! hopefully we can see it at the rally, me personally, i would think twice about using a tarp to cover it.The tarp holds moisture between the roof and tarp, could cause rot.I have a camco cover for mine,a slight pain to cover and uncover, but beats a blank!

what happened? I typed ready for spring, it comes out airing for spring? The reason I bought this was because it was dry, no leaks, and no smells!!!
