Wes, I noticed the boat was riding very low at the back. I think a decent sized wave would dump that RV to the bottom of the lake.

 Interesting picture, it looks like something I WOULD DO LOL. Stick a 75 HP Outboard on that, plenty of fresh water storage, Onan Generator, safety rails and lights etc. and a body could float down the Mississippi or some of the other big rivers at a relativley affordable cost. I think on some of the big rivers you can go alllllllll the way to the ocean, and you would use very little gas floating with the current downstream but you would have to ship it back North.  Of course you can pull into regular Marinas when needed to dump, fill with gas and fresh water. I think I would gut the heavy metal frame somehow to save on weight. Then you need a good heavy pontoon boat trailer and a big ton dually truck to tow it back North. I'm sure you can find places to safely anchor it at nights.

 

 Years back I looked at older houseboats with the idea of parking them on big midwestern freshwater lakes like Dale Hollow or Cumberland or Kentucky Lake etc. Your overnight camping is pretty much free except when you need to hit the Marinas for dumping, water and gas. I was going to drop a fresh water pipe about 10 feet below the surface and rig a 5 stage filter maybe a chlorinator if needed for water to shower with etc so I wouldnt use up my stored water so fast.

 

  Oh well, it was a pipedream yet I so much enjoy our current RV set up I doubt if I want to change. Problem is with the above your limited to ONLY big lakes or rivers.
