i have spent most of the summer researching the history of the roboafzet and have come to believe and learn that it is the only one in the united states.
from the name i located and traced as much as i could i am most positive. i know who owned it before me and i know how they got it. the man i bought it from got it from his grandfather which he told me had it shipped to the us when he came home from service overseas in the late 60's. it had always bn in wyoming but there isnt a way to trace what items someone brought back with them from the service to be traced as far as i can understand.
the manufacture of the roboa went out of business in the late 60's to early 70's and there is jst not any into as to where they wnt what happened noting. their out of switzerland and its hard to ascertain information for vintage campers.
but now i have a camper that no one has ever heard of is kinda cool...i can say that i have the only roboafzet in the united states not many ppl with know wha im talking about.
but one the other hand there is always that chance that one person knows the company and the company that bought out roboafzet.
i do have a link to their old web address but it doesn't give you anything other than a bland blue screen whn you try to click on any information. but as least i know that i found the company and can verify the manufacture.
what good is that realy? not much...maybe jst like ppl....maybe jst to know you belong is enough to make you smile.
so there you have it and now i will hopefully entertain you with another little gem i have and it is the famous little 16 ft shasta....
and yes it too has a story behind her as well.
i will get to posting pics of her shortly....
