I guess the heat on the brain took its toll on me today, I worked non stop in 105 indexed heat today just to get smaller winch installed.(Yes I did put 1/4 in steel plate in tool box to stablize and support the winch.

Thanks for filling in the gaps for me, I never thought about how people got their quads into the back of pickups, rode them I guess ;) Pulling the 5th wheel hitch into place is a great idea, with so many pickups, I never though about you moving it from one to another.
This will help load and unload the quad, and help load and unload the 5th wheel hitch assembly.
(I cant lift anything heavy). Its also a plus to load a motorcycle without having to ride up a narrow 6 inch wide ramp and hope to make it to the top without falling over.
If you have the twin loading ramps,, using Cardboard on them helps when sliding heavy boxes up to the bed of the truck.
This is a light duty winch, its only rated at 3500 Lbs.
I have more than once wanted / needed a winch set up like this in my truck to pull my bike up into the bed; even before my back became a hardware store. It's a neat Idea Lakota. I know you mentioned the steel support in the box you might want to add some heavy flat washers where the box mounts to the bed if you haven't already done so.
Question is WHY? what are you going to use the small winch for inside the pickup bed under the tool box? Inquiring minds are wondering!
