Hope Everyone has been having a Wonderful Christmas Holliday & Wish All a Gloriously Happy New Year.
Walk In Peace & Balance My Friends
The layout is very efficient, I lived in it for several years!
I was actually toying with the idea of installing a stand up shower in the middle. Put it up when you need it w/lift up flooring that hides the drain at the base..... yeah I know.... my mind is always crankin.... lol
When I hold my annual "Gathering of Guitars" event, Lil Trailer is where I put up those who I lift keys from so they can't drive;) Remember, it DOES amazingly sleep 6! Even has a nice lil 1950's wicker toilet seat n chamber pot with wood seat & lid (lined & w/chem for bio disposal)
GREAT Guest House ;)
When I'm done with Runnin Buffalo (motor home) I'll be back working on Lil Trailer "Ah we nuh sa" (Cherokee for My Home"
like the idea
Just looking again at that cute little trailer. I'm going to buy me one about that size, fix it up, and keep it for my kids to use. Heck, I could even pull it behind my motorhome. (Think "guest house.")
Oh yeah, still as amazing now as the first time I saw it!
I like it!
(sorry it took so long to get back on this one, I've been sick as a dawg & after some chicken soup, MucinexDM & letting the critters outside for a while, it's back to bed for me....)
All I can say to that is "Make it Your OWN"
My philosophy is: Buy It Once & Do It Once!
Using materials you really like, prioritize your needs & imagine the end results.
Put it on paper & sketch it out! If you don't like it.... get another piece of paper.
Go out and get samples to bring back in colors & textures you absolutely love, not just like.... lay them out, pin them up where you can see them at a glance for a few days. What ever you don't like after a few days, you won't be happy with in the end. Use your favorite texture & work with it.... be it metal, wood, stone, fabric.... just have fun!
(I'm in the middle of repairing wood rot right now, so this was a pep talk to myself too.... lol)
It's even more adorable with the awning. I bought a beautiful 9' vertical stripe from http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com Really is an impressive quality awning that will last for years n years!
Lil trailer actually has awning guides on both sides!
I'll get some more pictures up soon.
Dove, this pic is simply TOO CUTE. It doesn't surprise me this was your full-time house. HOW EXCITING!
