It's cool - I knew what you meant. Those 10x10s were mangled up piles of polyester and metal. It was crazy how fast it moved in and away. Not even enough time to whip out the phone for a video, though I was busy grabbing towels to sop up the water.

Wow Jim I read your post, It seems like bad weather and racing is a topic this year. I went over to the Indianapolis 500 last weekend and hit bad storms in and out all the way home. The first race I went to last year The Vintage Grand-e at Mid Ohio we had a storm that ripped through the camp site blowing tents and awnings all over the place it was cereal looking out the window and watching those !0x!0 pop up awnings go floating by and people scrambling to hold on to what ever they could to keep them from free flight. Did you see the pictures Lakota posted from the Texas storms? you are so correct to emphasize the importance of weather research while planning your trips. I suggest and practice carrying a weather band radio. You just never know when those sideways winds are going to hit. Thanks for posting your experience it was a good reminder for me.
