ok.  are ya ready?  i used a shower curtain!  used the original holes and just added brass grometz over them.  opened the bottom seam and ran some small plumbers tubing thru (slightly smaller than the diameter of my awning channel)  then fed the entire thing thru the channel.  couple awning/tent poles from Cabella's and voila!  done.   stupid easy almost.  i've seen girls put trim/fru-fru on them as well.  just haven't gotten around to that yet.  nice part of this is, every time you find a shower curtain you like?  you can turn it into an awning.  they do NOT fare well in rain however.  but then i just pull out the tubing, and throw it in the washer/dryer!

...can I ask how you did the awning/shade cover & poles coming out the door?  Our little trailer can't handle any professional awning weight so we're looking to jury-rig something...can't tell from the photo what the is...?
