If you look at some of our latest pictures you can see that we are down to the bare frame now. After I get the frame sand blasted and repainted then the floor goes back on. Originally the Terry did…Continue

Anyone know how to wire an iPod into your camper?

We are currently in the process of restoring our camper and one of the new features that I want to add which they did not have in 1969 is a connection for an iPod. I am not sure how I would go about…Continue

Tell us a little About Yourself
My wife and I have been married for over 24 years now. We have three daughters of which two are still at home and our oldest is a graduate from Oregon State University as of 2011 (Go Beavers!).

I am a veteran tent camper, but when I graduated high school my parents finally bought a motor home. From that point on I used to camp with my parents in the motor home and that was so much more convenient. :o)

My parents continued to have motor homes while we had our kids so our children benefited from Grandma & Grandpa's generosity as well.

We are on the opposite coast from the grandparents now so we are own our own when we go camping. We currently tent camp but we just bought a 1969 Terry Travel Trailer in 2010.

My 15 year old daughter and I just gutted 90% of the interior this weekend (07.17.10). I am here because we need help from fellow RV'ers restoring our camper.....please help us. :o)

Love what you'v done with your trailer. Birch is a great ideal. I have a hired 1969 yellowstone, but I don't think my hubby is as excited about it as I am. I'll show him your pics. This is our first camper, what a deal...lol

Thank You soooo much Craig and Lisa. That was very nice of you. You went even further than  I dared by my self. I really appreciate all your pain. But....it's sooo worth it in the end.

Hi Lisa - nice to talk to another Terry owner.  Yes-my cabinets do have a toe kick at the bottom.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  I am in the process of getting some pictures together.  I just bought the camper a few months ago and only work on it every other weekend.  So far, we have replaced the entire ceiling and put black and white tile in the bathroom floor.  From the pictures, your camper looks exactly like mine.....even the color of the stove!  :)  Just curious as to what kind of furnace you are putting in it now?  We put a furnace/air conditioner underneath of the long sofa.  We plan to take the old furnace out and use the space as storage.

Thanks for your insight. Did you do any metal reinforcing? My huband knows how to weld and my father-in-law has a torch. We kinda want to add support. Again the craftmanship of this thing is suprisingly chinsey. I swear we are going to replace everything by the time we are finished. I like your pics, that is alot of work, and inspiration!

Greetings Craig and Lisa! Thank you for welcoming us! Your rv sounds super neat! This weekend we were ripping out carpet and dry rot! Its really exciting that their are other people who have fallen in love with an old rv too! I cant wait to go through and see what everyone has done. And about the duck issue, ironically the only graduation we went to this year was at osu for my cousin!

Lol, thanks but I'm an old lady of 46.  In addition to that son-in-law I have 3 daughters(18, 20 and 22) and a grandson who will be 3 in October. Can't wait to take him camping! He already thinks the camper is about the coolest thing since juice boxes.

Craig and Lisa,

Thank you for your note.I love old Flx's. I have owned a 1945 Clipper ( needs lots  and lots of work) for bout 18 years and have done nothing to her except drive her around Oregon. She was RV'ed in 1950 and is in it's original condition. Since my heart trouble, about 8 years ago, she has been in storage . Now that I am feeling a lil better I want to start a redo. Anyway thanks for the note. It"s always nice to hear from peope who loves these old beautiful buses. Let's keep in touch.
