When you visit the grand canyon,,,, You have to stay and watch a sunrise crest over the top,,, its simply amazing, My daughter and I lounged around the bottom at a rest area and waited for the sunrise, and that was 12 yrs ago and the daughter still remembers its and says it was simply amazing,, a once in a lifetime experience.
Welcome Donna,,,, Appreciate your service,, Im a vet also. Its always great to hear about woman folk getting their hands dirty and rebuilding a good ole RV, Takes away from the stereotype guys thing,, Koodo's to ya. Ya found the right place for same minded people who love to keep the oldies and classics rolling down the ole highways to enjoy the memories and create new ones..
Hello fellow female Vet! Nice to meet another female who likes to rebuild herself! I bought a 1976 Fleetwood Terry Travel Trailer for the same reason. To see my own beautiful country. I'm ex-Army myself. Mine had an overabundance of roof leaks, but luckily the floor was fine. I've replaced a lot of walls and the ceiling (if course). It also had a few plumbing issues, which I fixed. I don't know how I got so lucky as to have a WORKING AC, but I did, and in this Texas heat that's a real blessing. I welded a receiver hitch onto the back bumper and made a custom cargo carrier to hold a generator. It works great!
Hi Donna,
First off let me thank you for your years of naval service to all of us. You are greatly appreciated and deserve much respect.
About your Roadrunner, hidden problems can range from not to bad to just plain serious. You have found the right place to be. There are lots of how to's, instructions from people who did complete rebuilds, and there is always the ability to ask questions from the great people who are on this site.
Again welcome to GORV and maybe we will see you "down the road" sometime.
