I am just getting started on the road this year. I have a older 1975 Dodge Sportsman - 18 feet. I am working on the inside but the engine and systems seem great. I love this little RV it is home to me and my dogs already. We cannot wait to be on the road full-time!

My *Smiley ,, service dog is going on 4 yrs old,, she was originally a rescue dog.. She has the uncanny ability to detect seizures, and for-warns me of impending stroke,,, shes saved me twice already. She loves to be with mentally challenged adults,, shes just a cuddle bear.

Hi Jan, Tried to send you a link that chronicles my trials and tribs with the Dodge Sportsman van, It's a rugged piece that any mechanic can fix and parts are cheap.

You might want to put together some spare parts, I'd be glad to help you with that, also a factory repair manual is a great addition.

Well here's the link again.

Hello and welcome aboard Jan! I see you have a '75 Sportsman. In my opinion the best older class C motorhomes are the ones with Dodge chassis.

Ever since I was  kid I wanted my own RV. Took me until I was 40, but I finally got one! :) Then the work began, haha!

Let us know if you need any help, and, again, welcome to Good Old Rvs!

Best,

Dave
