003.JPGMy interior is pretty much intact with the birch paneling . I recently removed the original old mattress and plan on upgrading the sleeping area to something newer and fresher . The original won had that musty 65 year old smell . I have a lot of plans for my Playette . I hope to keep it as original looking as possible . I'll be redoing the floor with some retro aqua and cream colored 12" tiles . Curtains will be a cheery retro atomic color and pattern . I have also been collecting vintage pennants from places around Ohio ( many no longer exist ) to decorate the inside and give it a authentic 50's feeling . Currently it is painted white but the original aqua color is showing thru the flaking paint . Hope to repaint the exterior aqua and white, and at some point add white wall tires . I think these Playette campers are the cutest of all .
Welcome to Good old RV's I saw your picture of your 58 Playette . It looks to be in very nice shape . I have a 56 Playette that I'm working on .I don't have any info on it other than it was built in Detroit Mich . At least your has the " Playette " name plate still on it . Good luck with your camper .
