It all started with a 1973 Apache Pop-Up Camper...the kind with the hard sides. I bought it off a guy in northern Maine and fixed it up last summer. We loved everything about camping with the kids except having to pop up the camper and having no bathroom. I sold the Apache recently and made some money off the deal. I then bought our current camper...a 1974 Red Dale 17 footer. It has all the amenities we wanted for camping. On the surface it looked great but after I got it home and started digging around I found considerable floor rot and framing rot in the front end. I'm now in the process of ripping it all apart to get it ready for this years camping season. I'll post some pics along the way and if anyone has any tips or ideas lay 'em on me. I'm pretty handy so I hope this will be a simple process.
