Hi Liz, Lakota is a stand up guy and contributes a lot here on GORV's. I have read many post and comments he has posted from almost any subject imaginable that pertains to RV-ing and some that don't. This reply, especially the back half has to be one of the most profound he has ever posted on this site. I thank you for asking the question that garnered this answer.
There is Pro's and Cons of full time RV'ing,,, and even if you keep your home base, (house). you will be technically be Full timing in your RV for your adventures. There is NO Quick course in the RV world of living. You will of course have to realize you CAN"T Take everything with you. You will have to be reserved on how much clothing and acc. your going to pack in your rig, (example of over loading is stacking 10 cases of bottled water on your rig for fresh water use). Its also not a good idea for the guys to CARRY their FULL tool chest and cabinets, along with every power tool he owns. And the woman dont need to have 74 pairs of shoes, and four 30 gallon totes full of cosmetics. ( Not all women do that,, was just an example). You will have to realize, you will be in close quarters for extended period of times,,, and its always nice to have snuggle time, BUT, people need to have personal space.. Thats why going outside is always a plus in camping and exploring. Its a wonderful lifestyle,, but it takes adjustments and it takes time,, And if you ask any Old timer,,, TIME isnt on our side,,, If you want to go see something,, Get up and go see it,,, you might not get that second chance, and the memories will last into the next generation as you tell your stories to the younger folks.
