Very slowly I am removing parts that had issues and replacing what I'm able. The biggest issue right now is the dry rot from the stove condensation leaking down the backsplash. Next are the windows after I replace the water lines with pex and put the port side back together. You can follow my progress on YouTube...

Thanks Rich. so far I am happy with it. It's coming together nicely, one step at a time.

Hi Fred, very nice job on the plumbing. glad to see those nice clean fittings on the shower.

The faucet  I received from amazon had plastic  threads and home depot or Lowe's didn't have what I needed  so I attached a threaded pvc  90 elbow 1/2 inch and it snuggled right up. I love those shark bytes!

It would be a heart breaker to have a water line failure after the work was finished. they make close 90 deg. elbows. I would suggest you snap a picture of those connections and head over to lowe's or other hardware store and have them fix you up.

Thanks Rich. I'll be looking into trying to find one this weekend.your right but I can see why they did that. Any more protrusion and it would be up against the stove. With the vent pipe I think I can do something better. Just have to figure it out. Today I'll hit habitat for humanity and maybe some sites available through our little club ☺

Hi Fred, I watched your Vid. I think you would be ahead to change those two 90's on your shower to brass pipe thread. I believe you just got lucky on the hot side not leaking. It appears that the threads aren't tapered on the male end going to the waterlines. that's why you couldn't tighten it up. they look like a pipe mail to a boss mail fitting used in hydraulic applications. as in a hose with a swivel fitting.
