I know this sounds dumb. I have a 1980 Mobile Scout Vaquero 20' There is a sofa that converts to a bed over it is a upper bunk you fold down the face so that it converts to a bunk. The face has 2 doors so you fold it up and use it as a storage cabinet. I opened it by pulling it down, and now it will not fold back up. I can not fine a latch a latchs on the sides nor can I fold it back up. A piece of plywood is under the mattress and I can not understand how it folds It looks like it is one piece. My husband works late and has not had time to check it out. I am the one that has been doing the cleaning and getting it ready for repair Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

oh don't you just love those wonderful modifications?! lol They must have felt it needed to be made more sturdy for some reason.
I have a brother and a couple Nephews down your way... The rain is a good thing.... I'm sure the ranchers are happy about it.
Thanks Sylvia after closer inspection I realized that the previous owner nailed a 1/2" plywood which was not cut in half as you stated. I will be doing just what you advised. I have not been able to work on it. I am from San Antonio Tx. and we've had so much rain. I just started drying up.
I hope you figured this out by now. Typically the plywood you see is cut in half and you "Stack" the piece closest to you over the other. (lift up and slide back) Once the wood is slid back into play you should be able to fold it up... and PUSH it back. There are some "P" shaped latches that catch into a HOLE in the wall. Good luck.
