Life is good,, most times,, well at least 28.6 % of the time.

I was reaching for something under the kitchen counter and noticed the

water pan under the water heater had water in it, Welllll  That is NOT good.

I looked around for Murphy's footprints knowing that sum gun had to have been there. Anywho,, I had a water line leaking,,, not the simple little drip drip. But the classic Murphy induced BIG drip drip, Just a note,, Murphy goes big.. So. I surveyed the situation the best I could, Still with very limited vision.Damn cataracts.  Back step a little,, While Russ Johnson was visiting, he helped in the replacement of ONE water line to the water heater. That fixed that leak,, Well we didnt replace the other one,, It wasnt leaking,, why replace it,, right?

Ok you can shake your head or laugh now,, seriously,, do both..

Yea,, Uber brain fart moment. Well guess what line was leaking? I will give you a minute,,,,(humming Jeopardy theme.) Yup, BOTH, HAAAA

Betcha didnt see that comming. Well a trip down to ACE to gtet 2 new lines,, Ace replaced one for free and I paid for the second. As Russ would know, And probably several others here,, there is NO room to work under a cabinet in a small confined space.. and being blind didnt help matters.

So I spent 4 hours replacing the lines, sopping up the wet mess under the cabinets,, which should have only been a 20 to 30 minute job.

So.. after 5 hours after being fixed,, I check everything,, and well,, I have a teensy tiny, itty bitty drip drip drip,, I think Murphy has set up a hammock down there, complete with a portable kitchenette, bathroom and pool table. So, Its back under the sink for round 2.... weeeeeeeee  we having so much fun,,, said no one ever..   On the bright side,, it keeps mje out of mischief.. and NO parental supervision. ROFL...

Round 2 on that sneaky drip. I checked this morning and had ONE, as in a single drip dollop in the pan I put under the fittings. Just one little droplette. The question now is,,,, Do I take it all apart after emptying the water heater and snot it up with sealant, or hope it cures itself? There aint much room under there and I cant see squat to begin with. I would flip a coin, But with my luck,, lose the coin. Now on a positive note,, I did get all the window blinds cleaned, the windows all clean,, A/C filters cleaned, closet organized again, and even got the grass cut here after the heavy rains. And picture this,, WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION... can you believe it? Awesome right? I know, I cant believe it myself. And I didnt burn the pop tarts.
The better half got to take a trip with her kids to Florida to Harry Potters world,, and left me Home Alone.Life is good that way at times.. I got to stay up late,, even on school nights, eat junk food,, play that hip shaking Rock and Roll hippie music... Wasnt told to eat my vegetables or do the dishes.and finally,,, When I get up in the morning.. Im so James Dean.. a true Rebel.. I didnt make the bed,, yup, I left it all thrashed. Im the KING of my castle, I am MAN hear me roar.... well, at least till she gets back home... LOL

Oh geeze, so "if it ain't broke don't fix it" was not the proper solution this time... who da thunk it? Glad you got it fixed now and not have to do it in the dead of winter.

You know Lakota, I'm of the opinion Murphy's not a very friendly guy!  He just can't git the hint we can get along with out him. LOL I hope things get better with time but you Know, I think Murphy's the one who came up with that saying cause it aint ever happened. Anyways hope you never loose your since of humor and things work out with the heater.
