Take One RV And Add Habitat for Humanity

What do you get when you add RVs and Habitat for Humanity?  Why, you get RV Care-A-Vanners!  I recently spent about two weeks in Springfield, MO with the Habitat for Humanity RV Care-A-Vanners 25th anniversary build and celebration rally April 21-May 4, 2014.  HFH has been using RVers to help build affordable housing for 25 years.  Building skills - not necessary.  You only need an RV and a willing spirit.  They find you free or affordable (reduced rates) campsites at or near the build site.  You meet new friends from all over the country and sometimes other countries.

This is a house that was completed for a mother and daughter who  were Katrina survivors.  The daughter as many medical concerns, the reason for the wheel chair ramp.  You can read their story here.

If you'd like to learn more about the RV Care-A-Vanners click here.  Want to see where they are helping out click here.  They also help in disaster relief.  So, if you have an RV and you were wondering what to do with all your spare time...   Wonder no more!  Check out the Habitat for Humanity RV Care-A-Vanners.

You won't regret it!
