Anyone here camped much on the Texas Gulf Coast between Corpus Christi and Galveston?? I'm asking because I may try some free boondocking along the beach starting at Magnolia Bay (Port Lavaca)  working North in early December. Will it always be windy and maybe cooler ???

Thanks good Wolf Man. I like hardly ever stay in commercial campgrounds. I'm more into free BLM land or Natl Forest or Wildlife Management etc. boondock dry camping. I didn't install 715 Watts of Solar Panels and 450 Amp Hours of battery storage for nuttin lol. I will be in the Austin area the month of November then start the trek towards Florida for the winter and head up the Gulf Coast a bit. Se you then ????

Any Beach area along the Texas coast will charge you a daily access fee,, nuthins free along the tourists coast anymore, Walmart is about the only free place to park. and Corpus Christi is muggy HUMID hot, but does have an nice 15 to 30 mph Breeze..As long as the wind blows its tolerable,, its when the wind calms down its like an oven... BTW,, RV park prices along the coast vary from $44 to $125 per night. And December weather is usually in the 70's and when a cold front comes through it gets downright brrrr chilly.
