Oh man this thing is so much worse than we thought. Turns out the airconditioner had been leaking water for years. It was wet when my husband pulled it off. All the insulation was wet, all the wood is so rotten you can literally drag your finger across it and it just falls off. The floor is uneven, the walls sag. Man we need about 20 more hours in the day and a million dollars. We have accepted that this is no longer a restoration, this is a complete rebuild. The frame is weird, why are the wallsa attatched to the sides of the floor rather than on top? We are going for the same basic shape. We might put in a bigger shower set up, the one we took out was a shower and hose hooked to the sink. Who knows For now we have a box truck. My husband is a real trooper he just keeps on and says that it will be awesome when its done. And just like anything no one can take away what we have learned already. And who knows what we will learn when we try to put it back together!
