Vintage Aluminum Eggs

I'm adding this group for any vintage aluminum eggs from Airstream to Spartan and all in between. You are welcome if you own an aluminum egg or are just interested. Would prefer to focus on pre 1985 but again all are welcome.See More

"Hi Drew, this is a question that I hope you can help me with. I have a 1977 Argosy 22 ft. We are having a leak problem. At the back of the trailer on the right side is a black hard overflow tube right in front of the sewer drain, it's leaking.…"

"No doubt the tint would save the curtains, what I meant was that the curtains have provided enough protection for the interior appointments such as counter tops, couch fabric ect . After our first diy curtains were bleached with in a year, the wife…"

Tint or not?

Trying to decide if I want to tint all of the windows on my trailer or not. My airconditioner does a great job of keeping the interior cool and our curtains cover well enough that we've had no fading issues so it really comes down to aesthetics. What do you guys and gals think? Tint or not?…See More

German made Tabbert Contessa de

Does anyone have any experience with a German made caravan in the states? A mechanic buddy of mine has a 1989 Tabbert Contessa De. It is a single axle and appears to be made in general UK caravan fashion, ie no wall or ceiling studs. I haven't been able to get pictures yet but of the ones he has shown to me it appears to be in great shape.See More

Making a rock tamer

So back in August the wife and I were pulling our Argosy to my mother in laws house some 60 miles due north. Unfortunately my wife's father had passed so we were going prepared to stay for the weekend. We didn't leave home until after dark on a Thursday evening. So in a construction zone of a two lane stretch of the journey we ran over what appeared to be a painted 2x6x8 laid across our lane of traffic.…
