Still trying to resolve the crank, no-start.Definitely in the distributor area... Ran her for 15 mins and she shut down.

Just pull the dist. And it's not to bad to change the pick up coil.. maybe 20 minutes and 26 curse words

This is not funny. I have the out-laws showin' up this weekend, taking my bedroom so the RV will be our refuge. Gotta be able to bug out if things get crazy.

Got it going but I'm pulling the disto cap off and fiddling with it. I replaced everything but the pick up coil which is a PITA to replace. I have a replacement distributor in case this keeps happening. Yes, it's a Chevy with the coil on the distributor. Found the connector clip loose on one try.

Is your engine a chevy? If so most likely it is the module.
