I really need some ideas on what to do in my motorhome....dont have tons of money but would like to fix her up one side is gutted the other is not and has wood paneling.  should I keep with the wood paneling or cover up the wood side?....should i go with press on floor, wood flooring, carpet?....really could use some insight thanks

also in the bath/toilet should I take the sink out to give more room?

It really depends on you and your taste. I have wood paneling and I'm going to primer and paint them. We did it in our house and it looks fine. Less work than ripping it off. I am also taking out the carpet in our rv and replacing with wood flooring. With 3 kids it is easier to sweep that having to vacum not to mention spills. We are on our last night of a week long camp out and I can't wait to get the carpet out. As far as the sink, mine is coming out. More space is important for us and I'm not worried about reselling, we have an 87 Allegro we bought 3 years ago. I think we will be the last owners.

Hard surface flooring is the way to go; sweep it clean and use rugs in places you want a 'warmer' feel on the feet.  I really like the idea of the vinyl planks that Armstrong (I think, can't remember their name for it) makes.  My sister has this in part of her house and it doesn't have the cold feel that some flooring has and it is quiet to walk on, which laminate is not.  The amount used in an RV really isn't that much which makes picking your flooring easier.

Our first trailer had the paneling painted white with the drawer and cabinet doors painted a color that matched the appliances, could only be described as cute (a person would have to be quite calloused to not think of it as cute).  I really does brighten the space.  Somewhere there is a couple pics of our first trailer in a blog post.

When it comes to the floor plan, I would pick or develop a floor plan that works for you.  With older RV's, they are not likely to be money makers in the resell market so I would not concern yourself with what someone may want to buy.  Really take the time to decide how you will be using it and what features you must have and those you really want.  For my wife and I we wanted a way to separate the sleeping area from the 'living' area, a thin curtain was all it needed to be and all it is.  When you are done you will have the perfect RV for you, every outing seems to work better than the previous.  When the time does come to sell, chances are someone will take a look at what you have done and think 'I would never have thought of doing it that way.  It's perfect for me!'
