Hi all:  Just did the shake-down w/ our new-to-us '57 Kenskill trailer.  Tackled several repairs while visiting my best-ever BIL in N. California.  After overhauling the 20 gal fresh water tank/hoses/etc find that the whimpy plastic hand-pump faucet is not up to par (too many pumps for too little pay-off, don't ya know).  First question:  is this just because I am not filling the tank to capacity?  Second question:  If I replace the pump faucet can anyone advise me on 1) a good one 2) one that will reach higher and have a longer extention (the current spout is even w/ sink top and sticks out only 1") and last question: Would you advise replacing the city water faucet and pump faucet for one combo faucet?  There will be MORE questions, I can promise.  Thanks!

My experience is that the pump faucets only move a little water per pump.  I cleaned up the one in our previous trailer and the 'piston cavity' is quite small.  I don't know of any that have a better spout setup, but then I haven't looked either.

What we did is put a 2 gallon water jug under the sink for drinking water using the hand pump and then used park water for cleaning up and such.  Usually patience would run out and we would just use park water for everything, most taste just fine.

If you want to go with a single faucet then you would need to install a 12v water pump (on a switch) for when you are not hooked up to park water.

Thanks, Bruce.  The RV specialist I spoke to here in town agrees with you on the 12v pump. I'm still undecided. Using a 2 gal container at the sink has been easy and practical, yet I'd like to make all system go-go-go on the trailer, as it is nearly all there. I'll post more when changes are made.

Yes, indeed -- went the 12v battery pump route, hooked up to the 20 gal tank, put in a router switch city/ tank AND replaced the whimpy hand pump w/ a more robust one for those times we have NO power at all.  2 brand spanking new taller / longer reach faucets and we are pumped -- literally and figuratively.  I'm down a few bucks but, hey - this is my Ritz Carlton!
