Good Old RVs sent out a general email requesting blogs and posts about adding/installing solar energy to your RV.
I have no experience but I want to know too. I found the following video on YouTube and it's fairly straight-forwards. You can fill in the blanks with other, similar links (from Google).

I would like to be included in any further discussions on this topic.
Thanks!

He has been wanting to put solar on our motorhome for years and has finally found some panels that he likes. Our question to the group is, What do you all think of the Flex Solar Power Mat system? We have a 1984 Allegro 31' Class A. A 6.5 kw Onan Generator and 2 6v golfcart batteries for coach power. Lookin forward to all replies.
Thanks in advance

If you do a search Alternative Energy or 12 volt power chart, you should pull up all sorts of info, including charts that show what you can run off of 12 volt systems. They will let you see how little that you can run lol, but really they show what all you need to get started.
Above all else, heed the warnings from the other posters, Safety First, because those 12 v systems will short out if not installed just right and could burn the Coach down. All to Best to You!!
