Anyone know where I can get Kit Companion factory decals for the out side of my1966 Kit Companion?

Getting ready to paint the outside of the trailer, all the decals are faded. Also what type of paint should I use? Thanks

Hi,

     A sign shop that makes stick on graphics / boat names / semi truck stuff.  They can just put whatever in the puter and it prints out a sticker/decal.  Technology is amazing.  Most shops should be able to replicate your decals.  And any (your local, best) auto-body supply house can steer you to the best paint (primer more important) for your application.  Just finishing the repaint of our Cabana.  Our blog 2012 Upgrades.  There are also some painting discussions on here as well that should help.  Put "painting" in the search box and you should get good stuff back. Also "You Tube" has how to videos on everything, I think.  It's not hard, just takes a lot of sanding.  Hope this all helps, Tony, Joy and Cool Paw Luke

Thanks for your help, I just about have the pergo floor in, The ceramic toilet was in bad shape so I replaced it floor was solid. My wife recovered all the cushions and the curtins. I have to add a conveter to run the 12 volt lites that the other owner had put in (He hooked them directly to the battery?) Any ideas on what size converter to get? Also I am hooking up an electric water pump, this trailer has no hand pump just compressed air.I am debating on a hot water tank also. Will this hurt the value of my vintage trailer? Thanks for all your help much Appriciated. (P.S. just picked up 4 15 inch crome baby moons for the wheels) I only need 2. Take care Wade

Hi Wade,

  Sounds like you and lisa have been busy.  Converter size is dependent on load.  Sounds like a few lights a water pump and..?  Figure your load.. water pump will be the big draw, the amp rating is on the label.  If you have to convert to watts google " amp to watt converter"  All electric has a rating.  Add it up and go 1/3 to 1/2 more then you think you need.  I would convert all 12 volt lights to LED they last forever and draw no power compared to incandescent lights. 

   Water heater,  When it comes to vintage bone stock is always worth more.  We have a propane demand hot water heater.  Turn on the water it lights and heats what you use. Turn off the water and it turns off.  I would think an outside mount with quick disconnects or something along those lines.  Still stock but you have hot water.  Ebay has a bunch. See our blog post Tankless water heater and new curtains.  I have to say I would not recommend the one we have.  When I find a "Paloma" unit I will switch it out.  No need for baby moons but the free classifieds here might find a needed home.  Fair winds, Tony, Joy and Cool Paw Luke
