I have been lurking on this sight for about a year and my wife and I have been searching for a Dodge Travco even longer.  We finally found a 1977 that is in good shape and has the interior layout that we wanted.  We looked at alot of vintage RV's but we grew to love the Travco's the most.

The worst things about our new to us Travco is the exterior paint and the gas guage doesn't work.  Our plans are to repaint it an off-white/cream color with a green stripe and do some minor interior work to our taste.

I will have to give the Onan gen-set some attention and drop the gas tank to replace the sender unit.  My ultimate goal is to make the coach into a 4x4.

We have been very busy working on the interior.  Here are a few before and after pics.

new floor looks great!

So great to see another travco in the group. Mine is a 1964, 270 :)

Thanks!

Actually, you played a part in inspiring me to buy my Travco!

I saw your Myrtle on the internet and fell in love with the body style. I was looking for a 1968 or older 270 when fate just sort of delivered mine to me.

I searched solid for over a year and had pretty much given up for awhile.  Then one day I was in Camp Wood, Texas talking about old RV's and a guy told me about an old motorhome that his neighbor was thinking of selling.  It was about 1500 feet from where we were sitting... The rest is history!

I am very active on "travcoforum.com" ...  stop by for a read sometime.  See you on the road!
