I have a 76 dodge explorer. the clean out pipe for black water has a leak near the end. it's before the value to open the pipe. can I repair it or have to change it out. thanks

Yes, you can repair it. You'll need a plastic welder. And some ABS rod with Kevlar in it. These are at Amazon here. http://www.amazon.com/Urethane-Supply-Company-5600HT-Mini-Weld/dp/B...
The kit is spendy and yes you can buy a soldering iron and weld plastic with that, however, this kit has gobs of information on how to do this, 2 tips, and enough rod to weld just about anything plastic (including your fresh water tank, plastic gas cans, etc.
There is a few videos on Youtube that can help you understand how this works.

My husband repaired a 12 inch long gash in our black tank and fixed the crack about 2/3s around the dump pipe. He also built up a couple "braces" that makes that piece stronger.
Do practice a little if you can before you start and make sure the tank/pipe is as clean as you can get it. Denatured alcohol should take care of that.
