I have bought a 1969 prowler last year. Now I'm moving out of state. And I would love to take this with me.But I can not seam to fine where the vin number is on it. the person that sold it to me said that it never had a vin on it. I was so clueless at the time. but then finding out that there should be a vin on it somewhere Just can't seam to find it. Can someone please tell me where I can find it. I looked on the tong but I didn't find am I looking in the wrong place or should it be there?

Holly, I am not sure about 1969? But we always stamp the Vin on the A-frame or on the chassis. Usually toward the front. You may have to crawl under the unit and look at the inside beam. Check both sides of the tube steel or I-beam.

Have you ever registered it ? If so the vin will be on the registration.  1969 didn't require titles and were typically registration certificate transfers of ownership. What did you get for a receipt when you bought it?

I have a 1969 Prowler as well. I believe the vin is on a small baked on sticker thats on the left side, near the bottom! Look at the pic above my wood pile! there are two small boxes! I think one of them had the vin on it! I'm not sure if your trailer has been painted, but it kinda looks that way! If your trailer was painted then its mostly likely gone! On mine its so hard to read! You can also check in the front toward the bottom behind your propane tanks/ battery! If you want to make it legal to pull and you don't have a vin, say it is home made! Alot of people use to build there own back in the day and you should be able to go that route!
