Hello...first post.  Was given a 69 Yellowstone w/o title.  Could someone confirm that the 5 digit stamp I found on the driver side of the tongue is in fact the VIN?  It is stamped on the receiver assembly and a few inches back under the propane holder on top.  Thank-you for your time.

VIN Numbers On Vintage Trailers

Thx Adam...I suspect that is my VIN.  I'll have to jump thru some hoops here in CO to get it registered but hopefully it won't be too painful.

In 1980 I purchased a 37 Chevy that had no title card; it was not difficult to obtain a replacement title. A few years ago, a friend gave me an un-licensed home made utility trailer. This too I had no problem obtaining a title for. Basically all the Deputy Registrar's office is looking for is to make sure the item is not listed as stolen.
