Hi,

If the cable housing is not bad you can get a universal speedo cable replacement kit at most auto parts stores. Hope this helps, Tony, Joy and Cool Paw Luke

I Went through this already myself. Let me ask you a couple of q"s. Do you have a cruise box, if so do you need the cable from the instrument cluster to the cruise junction or the cable from the cruise box to the trans. I had to replace the one from the cluster to the cruise box. Mine popped out of the clip (broke) and laid itself on the header, causing it to melt then locking up the cable. Also, what engine and trans do you have, and is there any possible way you can take a picture of it and of the ends and post it on your page, or here. There is a place here in Norman Oklahoma called Palace Auto Supply that ordered one for me. I took it in and the parts man Mike looked at it and went to a BOOK and found what I needed. Yes I said a BOOK. This is a auto parts store that actually uses books. Old School way, I had it the next day. Imagine that. He told me that it looked like a Dodge HD 300 forestry service speedo cable from the early to mid 70'S. If it is anything like mine, (I still have the old one somewhere in the box) I should be able to give you the part # off of mine. Probably the same part #. I have found out almost all of the Travco"s run a lot of the same Drivetrain and aux. components. If you want get back to me with a reply. I am a Retired Mopar Tech and I will help out any way I can.

thanks for the reply and info. My Travco is equipped with the cruise box, 440 engine and 400 tranny. It is the cable from the box to the tranny that I need.

Just for my own notes... I would also be curious to know any part #'s that may come out of thid discussion.
