I bought a 76 23' Minnie Winnie , it has about 80 screws in aluminum roof , just over the cab.
has been leaking and of course causing damage to wood. the screws are not aluminum, there fore the reaction has caused rust. I guess the roof panel 1/4 luan 3/4" foamboard, 1/4 " luan
came unglued to aluminum roof and the previous owner used sheetrock screws.
I plan on removing the screws and patching holes.and installing roof truss system so roof won't sag.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

not sure but i think your talking about your ceiling my 78 winnie rotted by air conditioner due to it sagging and leakin I replaced my ceiling with masonite white one side brown on other about 10 bucks a sheet @lowes i got that because it wipes cleans easy. had to pull my ac out and slid plywood above roof trusses by ac to support the sagging. my wife wanted wood grain paneling but I told the way them old roof sweats woulld just mold so I went that route hope that helps sorry I know this post is a little old but what the hay,,,lol
I suggest coating the roof again at least. Try RV Parts Country for a better price on that stuff. I coated my roof, which it's rubber, but it solved the issues. They got a lot of other RV parts to choose from as well though.
Thanks
Dick
