Hi all, I own a '66 Aladdin Magic Carpet 15. My front windows started to leak at the end of last season. Looking for some help on how to go about removing the trim to get to the glass and then how to best remove the glass. Thinking while I'm that far in to replace the original glass with safety glass. I don't believe the original glass is. Any tips would be welcome. Thanks

Could you send a close-up of the frame, on the outside and inside. You might want to find a suction cup or two made for glass, Home Depot, etc...lot safer removing the glass. Nice spot where you took that picture. Where was it if I may ask?

Stephen, yes I will take some close ups. I'm out of town be back Monday and will post pics. That was ten miles up out of Pierce Idaho. Make the trip yearly with family.

That's great. That looks like a great spot. I'll have to do a little research on Idaho. Just passed thru there years ago. Didn't have time to look around.

From the picture it looks as if your windows are secured from the inside. The screw on the side frame indicates that it's removable. If the top and sides are all removable I would start by removing both sides, secure the glass with tape and suction cups and remove the top. At that point, depending on the sealant you should be able to tilt the glass to the inside ( a little help from outside would be good ) then safely lift it out of the bottom track. After zooming your first picture, working from the inside looks easier.

   I noticed the black discoloration in the corner of the glass, if I'm correct that would indicate film inside of safety glass. You might not have to replace it.

    I hope all this helps, I can't do much at a distance. It would be better if I could see more detail.

Ok, that's a great starting point. The pic wasn't all that good. I will carefully play with it and see how it goes. Thanks for the help, I'll let you know. Thanks Stephen.

Well, I was able to remove both the front and rear windows on my trailer and reseal them both. It was easier then I thought, remove all the screws on the outside flange and the window popped right out. Installed some putty tape and reinstalled then used some aluminum caulking and alas good once again. Thanks for your help.

That's great. Wish all my repairs went that easy. I'm still repairing 2 outside sliding storage bins and of course every thing is hard to get to.
