the heating coil on the back of the fridge is hot , but I can't get the fridge to cool. I would appreciate any ideas as to what could be the problem. Thank you for your time. This is a 1974 model trailer

Is it an Amonia Absorption type (like many RV's use) of fridge?? Is it LP Gas + Electric??? Will it cool on EITHER method of operation??
Ive seen older units that had been operated off level too long and the teeny return tubes get all clogged up and they will never cool after that. There are mom n pop and old wives tales about turning them upside down and that cures them but Ive NEVER had it to work.
Theres a guy near where I live in Greenwood Indiana that rebuilds and repairs old RV amnonia fridges

It is an amonia absorption type. It is gas, elec, 12v . I figured if it won't cool on the electric side it wouldnt cool on gas or 12v . I also thought of turning it upside down. But, I also heard that that method was just a myth..:) Thank you for your response. I would be interested in getting in contact with the guy that repairs the fridges near your home.
